I admire artists who make rap seem so effortless, meet Warhol.SS. The Chicago rapper has capitalized on the more menacing sonics of hip-hop, he has truly created his own lane and an addicting sound to consume. His beat selection leans more towards grimy and dark production. He was born & raised in Chicago but spent time in Atlanta where he would find his love for rap. Another young vet, Warhol.SS has only been in the game for about 6 years now. His much anticipated debut Chest Pains released back in 2018 and fans have been waiting for a new album ever since. With the release of FREE ANDY II, this is my first time listening to a new Warhol.SS project as an avid fan. I absolutely love it as he gives us a tease of what his next album may sound like. “Go Get It” is the first track off the project and Warhol.SS wastes absolutely no time getting straight to business. Produced by Cash Cobain, the track is a bouncy trap beat and Warhol.SS comes through on the attack with an infectious flow and bars. The video is filled with interesting animations, edits, and has a vlog like feel to it.
