Saba — 2012 (Official Video Clip) | Few Good Things film

Saba is back with a short video, made by C.T. Robert, to coincide with the release of his most recent album, "Few Good Things". The music and its visual companion both vividly portray a young man's life, love, and grief as he grows up on Chicago's West Side. "Dedicated to those who came before him but were unable to complete it." Such language opens the movie, while below street level, a flower gently starts to bloom in an empty crevice. Additionally, in those 24 minutes, one may learn more about the Chicago rapper's third album since 2016, and have a greater grasp of it. In the video , Saba explores his background, family, friends, and how ultimately with all of the progress that his career in music has brought him , his origins have always been all that counts, there is still plenty to learn and comprehend about his path via a poetically unmatched flow.

The auditory memory continues until 2012 as Saba drives past his former neighborhood and returns to where his friends and family now reside. He gets together with some old pals for a game of dominoes and enjoys a relaxed evening with those who were part of his early life. The moments are expertly crafted and seamlessly blended with images of his family and childhood as well as situations from his life. Eventually, the picture shifts back to Saba driving while gazing up at his grandmother's house, and when he does, he notices that the lyrics to 2012 have been written over a page in the notebook that his younger self had been painting.
