Poindexter is an artist from the Hoosier state of Indiana who has been active for more than a decade building a reputation for himself and putting on for his community with his distinct poetic ability and music. Poindexter makes his returns with a new self-produced track and new music video called "No Parties Fr." This was Influenced by 90s hip hop in which the music presents a nasty, yet obscure, percussion break backed by a smooth analog synth coasting in the background with "in your face" vocals. Elijah Hooks, the go-to engineer for Griselda Records, makes it possible to sense how determined Dex is about forgoing the party scene in favor of sitting home and stacking his papers. The grungy music video, which was directed by Jace and edited by Avitiuh, is polished at a home party and has hustler-like performance shots.
With this being his debut song after a break of more than a year, anticipate more to follow along with his upcoming album "Cool in Real Life" and his appearances on stages at events organized by Redman or even on tour with musicians like Rome streetz.
