Pharrell Williams has enlisted 21 Savage and Tyler, the Creator for the new tune "Cash In, Cash Out," which he released shortly after revealing the expanded roster for his Something in the Water Festival in Washington, D.C. The track's rhythm is provided by Williams, who takes a backseat to enable the two rappers to display their wit. In the first verse, 21 Savage begins, "Pharrell created this so it's a million dollar beat," before Tyler takes over on the second stanza with tales of cashing in and cashing out. "From the last concert, I was offered $2.5," he recalls. "I declined since the stage's mentality did not align with my own."Williams' first official single of 2022 is "Cash In Cash Out," while the Neptunes' maestro has seen increased interest in his 2013 song "Just a Cloud Away" when a TikTok meme went viral, culminating in a digital rerelease of the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack highlight. Williams' "Cash In Cash Out" was released for an unknown reason, but fans may expect to hear it live during the Pharrell & Phriends segment of Something in the Water, as both 21 Savage and Tyler, the Creator are also set to play. In addition to the already announced roster, Williams stated that Justin Timberlake, SZA, Clipse, N.O.R.E., and others would join him onstage as the festival moves from his homeland of Virginia to New York City from June 17 to 19.
