With the release of her new song "MAMA'S EYES" in 2023, Minnesota born artist that goes by the name of METTE made a huge comeback to the music industry following the release of her single in 2021. With 5.2 million streams and growing , the song became a fresh smash, solidifying her as a performer to watch. Since then, METTE has been named by Spotify as one of their "Artists to Watch" for U.S. Pop Rising in 2024. She was also named one of the 13 breakout artists to look out for in 2019 by Amazon Music. Released on January 11, METTE's most recent track, "DARLING DRIVE," features vocalist and producer Sam Gellaitry from Scotland.
This new tune is so amazing and full of psychedelic feelings that it's impossible not to groove and enjoy yourself while listening to this new track. Each performer has a little moment to shine as they alternate between vocals. However, they come together for the chorus, perfectly harmonizing their vocals. A very fantastic pop tune (and possible club hit) is created by the combination of the slinky bass beat and the warbled backing vocals. METTE's vocals sound unlike any other voice in the current pop music scene, and the production is supremely well-made and polished. METTE's status as a pop music powerhouse is cemented with each new song she releases.
