Malo BRIGADE returns with his next single, Lotus, reminding us to be gentle to ourselves through periods of personal challenges and self growth. The track features fellow Midwest friends/collaborators A.C. the Ruler (Milwaukee, WI) and Tan2 (Chicago, IL). Seamlessly weaved into a laid back groove produced by Oli of Temper Beats (UK), the record was written and recorded at Malo’s studio spare of the moment and naturally came together in a single session. It was inspired by conversations between friends reflecting on the hustle and grind of life as artists. The record was also informed by enduring various obstacles and challenges through the pandemic, but served as a reminder to take it all in with a grain of salt and push past the tough moments to persevere regardless of the situation. A.C.'s mantra hook (below) helped set the base for the record while Tan2's accompanying verse delivered perspective on navigating relationships. “Tides is flowing ,Body Floating ,Times a chosen ,Imma be ok ,Prayed Id find my focus ,Bloomed the lotus ,Now we coastin , We gon be ok” .
