Kanye West is a man who knows how to put on a show. His second listening party in Atlanta was one for the memories, I remember yelling and screaming as he ascended into the sky. “24” is a beautiful Gospel cut on Kanye’s new album Donda. This track is said to be dedicated to Kobe Bryant as well as Kanye’s mother. Kanye harmonizes about people leaving too soon in his life and begging God to make it alright. The Sunday Service choir assists with a beautiful hook, reassuring us that it is going to be okay. Verse two feels triumphant and a reminder that it isn’t over yet. “24” is one of those tracks that will truly bring you back to Earth. The visual is the exact opposite, it starts off with “No Child Left Behind” as Kanye once again ascending into the sky at Mercedes Benz Stadium. The setting changes and we find Kanye flying above the clouds and confronts his mother. Kanye seems like he goes from falling out the sky to eventually learning how to fly and control his path. Donda has been booming on the charts and hopefully Kanye shares more visuals off of the album. Check out the visual for “24” below.
