George Arthur Calendar (GAC) is a Chicago-based musician from Guadalajara. His melodies are inspired by the constant routine of his life, as his music takes phrases from modern life and mixes them with timeless melodies of new wave, synth pop and lilting funk. His music is also influenced by the Chicago independent scene, where new narratives for his songs emerge. George Arthur Calendar amalgamates cosmic nuances to create the new favorite genre of the masses: stoner-pop. For GAC it is important that the artist follow his instinct to create his music. GAC continues preparing its new album Sugar Freak, a work where we will discover the musical trail of bubblegum psych pop.
After having released the song "Thrift Kiss", the second single from the album is “La Facha”, a slow and wild funky song. A sensual vibe. “La Facha” is a dangerous song to woo your crush and make the two of you dance close all night thanks to some magnetic synthesizers. The chorus of “La Facha” is extremely catchy and is ideal to fall in love forever. This 2023, GAC has shared the stage with bands like she Say She She she, King Pari and TC Superst, in addition to which they will be opening the next shows of The Pearl & They Oysters and Jared Mattson. It will also be part of various festivals throughout the coming summer. "La Facha" is the second preview of the new album by George Arthur Calendar that will reach our ears next September.
