Freddie Gibbs is releasing a music video for "Zipper Bagz" from his September 2022 album $oul $old $eparately.The video, which was co-directed by Gibbs' longtime manager Ben "Lambo" Lambert, Harley Astorga, and the rapper himself, begins with a threatening voice mail about the consequences of an unfinished job. Simultaneously, Gibbs is seen arguing with a woman before they part ways, leaving the rapper in a motel room with a large leather duffle bag beside him.
While Gibbs had a successful 2022, the following year will be even more fruitful. Gibbs revealed to XXL in January that he is currently working on four different projects. The IN rapper made his film debut in Down With The King as Money Merc, an antagonistic rapper. The New York Times named Gibbs "Best Actor" for his performance. He also appeared in 50 Cent's Power Book IV: Force and Bust Down. He sits and waits until the music video concludes with a knock on the door, leaving his fate unknown. $old $oul Kelly Price, Offset, Moneybagg Yo, Rick Ross, and Anderson Paak made separate appearances.Raekwon, DJ Paul, Pusha T, Musiq Souldchild, and Scarface, as well as production from Madlib, The Alchemist, and James Blake, as well as KAYTRANADA, Boi-1da, DJ Dahi, and Jahaan Sweet.
