Buddy is back, and on his new song "Wait Too Long," he enlists the help of West Coast crooner Blxst for an energetic overture to a possible romantic partner. "Don't make me wait too long / Five liquor shots, I'm way too on / Time tickin', I'ma bring my phone," Buddy and Blxst warn, as the woman in question takes things gently. The video begins with the aftermath of a party at Buddy's house, with the Compton rapper swimming in the pool as friends sleep off their hangovers on the deck. Buddy takes out an antique phone (did you know phones used to have cords?) and used it to maintain communication with an unidentified paramour. The film then flashes back to the night in question, where a dinner party becomes increasingly debauched as the night progresses, but Buddy is unable to charm any of the female visitors. Buddy's new album Superghetto, released March 25 on RCA Records and Buddy's own Cool Lil Company, features the first track "Wait Too Long." Since his 2018 debut Harlan & Alondra, Superghetto will be the Compton rapper's first full-length solo record. Since then, he's been on Dreamville's Revenge Of The Dreamers III and collaborated with fellow Los Angeles resident Kent Jamz on the mixtape Janktape Vol. 1Buddy.
