Buddy returned earlier this month with a new track called "Free My Mind," in which the rapper also released a new visual for the single as well. The Compton rapper reflects in a number of settings, such as a sauna, the L.A. Memorial Coliseum, and an early-morning setting by the beach, in this Tommy Nowels-directed video. The video depicts Buddy engaging in various therapeutic activities on his self-reflection journey, including self-care, meditation, morning runs, and spending time with his family and young people. “Free My Mind” comes one year after Buddy’s sophomore album called "Superghetto" and has gained some early press praise from Essence, Consequence, HipHopDx, and more. Buddy then leads viewers through his daily routine, including footage of him dancing to music, walking on the beach, and interacting with his father, Rev. Simmie Sims, Jr., who appears at the close of the tape with a poignant sermon also.
