Ab- Soul's studio LP, Do What Thou Wilt, was released six years ago. In addition to features from Zacari, Bas, ScHoolboy Q, SZA, Mac Miller, Rapsody, Teedra Moses, and others, the project had 16 hot tracks. Since then, he has provided songs for TDE Appreciation Week in 2020 and Black Panther: The Album in 2018 (both of which feature "Bloody Waters"). The Carson rapper has also contributed his own style of bars to tracks by his contemporaries, including as B-"Stix Real's 'N' Stones," REASON's "Trapped In," Jhené Aiko's "One Way St.," and Russ' "Who Wants What." Ab-Soul was enlisted by TDE associate and accomplished battle rapper Daylyt for "POPULOUR" a few weeks ago. The performance, along with the song's tempo shift, appears to further hint to more material from the Longterm talent to come.
